Day 1: Arrival.

Arrival. Reception and transfer to hotel. Free time

Day 2: City tour.

City tour. Yerevan is the capital of Armenia. The main symbol of the city of Yerevan is obviously Mount Ararat, visible in favorable climate from anywhere in the city. Visit the Museum of Armenian History. The museum collection has around 400,000 objects. The permanent exhibition covers the history of the Armenian people, since the days of primitive society to this day. Then visit the monument to the Armenian Genocide called Tsitsernakaberd dedicated to the victims of 1915. It is already a complex that has even a museum of great historical information wingspan must for any tourist visiting the Republic of Armenia. Overnight in Yerevan (B / – / -)

Day 3: Yerevan – Khor-Virap – Noravank – Yerevan.

Holy Thursday: Foot Washing Service
Christ, showing true humility, washed the feet of his disciples after the Last Supper. (John 13: 1-16).

Breakfast. Departure to the monastery of Khor Virap dating back to the 4 -17 centuries. Khor Virap is one of the most popular destinations in Armenia. It’s where Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years for preaching the word of Christ. Visit the wineries of Areni. Continue to the monastery of Noravank (New Monastery), located in a canyon of the rural community of Areni. It is a religious and cultural center of the 12th century. From a distance it seems to be on top of the flat surface of a rock, nestled in a majestic mountain. The main church of Stephan the former (Surb Karapet) was built in 1221-1227. Day 4: Yerevan – Sevan – Tsakhkadzor – Yerevan.

Breakfast. Departure for Lake Sevan. Lake Sevan is the largest lake in Armenia and the Caucasus region. It is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in the world. Lake Sevan is situated in the central part of the Republic of Armenia, in the Gegharkunik Province, at the altitude of 1,900 m (6,200 ft) above sea level. Sevanavank is a monastic complex located on a peninsula at the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia, not far from the town of Sevan. Overnight in Yerevan. (B / – / -)

Day 5: Yerevan – Matenadaran – Garni – Geghard – Yerevan

Holy Saturday. Breakfast. Visit Matenadaran Museum. Matenadaran is one of the depositories of oldest and richest in the world manuscript. Driving to the pagan temple of Garni, an example of Hellenistic culture in Armenia today, acted as a summer resort of the oldest Armenian kings over two thousand years ago. The temple and its ruins lies 28 km northeast of Yerevan. Also visit the amazing monastery of Geghard is located 6 km from the temple of Garni and is revered as one of the great spiritual and cultural centers. Return to Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan. Day 6: Yerevan – Echmiadzin -Zvartnots – Yerevan

Breakfast. Departure to Echmiatsin. Echmiatsin, which can be translated “the place where the Only Begotten descended” is one of the ancient capitals of Armenia. The Cathedral of St. Echmiatsin was erected in that place in the 4th century (301-303), at the dawn of the Christian adopting the country. Armenia was the first city in the world which officially adopted Christianity as the state religion. Echmiatsin is home to the Supreme Catholicos of all Armenians and the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Back to Yerevan stop at the ruins of Zvartnots Temple. The architectural masterpiece of Zvartnots was built between 641 and 662. The temple was damaged by an earthquake in the 10th century, and was unearthed nearly a thousand years later, in 1900-1907, in the city of Echmiadzin. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Yerevan. (B / – / D)

Day 7: Departure for home!
