Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival

– Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport.
– Check in.

Day 2Yerevan - Etchmiadzin - Zvartnots - Yerevan

Breakfast.
Morning city tour in Yerevan: the Republic Square, the National Art Gallery and Cascade to admire the panoramic view, the Monument and Museum of genocide victims.
Pick up your rental car and drive to Etchmiadzin cathedral, known as the center of the Armenian church and one of the first Christian churches. Visit to the ruins of the temple of Zvartnots, the Pearl of Armenian architecture of 7th century.
Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 3Yerevan - Gyumri - Marmashene - Haghpat

Breakfast.
Departure for Gyumri.
The Monastery of Marmachene built by prince Vahram Pahlavouni.
Departure to the Lorri region.
Overnight in Haghpat.
Drive length 280 km

Day 4Haghpat - Sanahin - Dilijan

Breakfast.
In this region are situated the World Heritage monasteries; Haghpat and Sanahin are among the outstanding works of Armenian medieval architecture.
Arrival in Dilijan. Overnight in Dilijan.

Day 5Dilijan - Sevan - Garni - Geghard - Yerevan

Breakfast.
Dilijan is one of the most famous resort towns of Armenia.
Discover Lake Sevan, the second largest alpine lake in the world and largest in Armenia and Caucasus. Sevanavank monastic complex on the peninsula
The Temple of Garni, monument of the Hellenistic period. To the north-east of Garni is situated the monastery of Geghard. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 6Yerevan - Saghmosavank - Amberd - Yerevan

Breakfast.
En route to Saghmosavank visit the small church of Karmravor in Ashtarak
Saghmossavank monastery is located in a magnificent site.
The Fortress of Amberd stands on a rocky promontory formed by the Rivers Amberd and Arkashen. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 7Yerevan - Khor Virap - Noravank - Yerevan

Breakfast.
The Monastery of Khor Virap offers a splendid view of Mount Ararat, the symbol of Armenia. Vayots Dzor region and the village of Areni where there is a small wine factory suitable for tasting Armenian wine.
Continue through the canyons to the monastery of Noravank which houses the Church of St. John the Baptist, The Church of St. Gregory, the chapel of the mother of God. Return to Yerevan and return your rental car. Overnight in Yerevan.
